This booking will be serviced by America Car Rental, having registered office in Mexico. In case of booking

Driver Age
The minimum driver’s age is 18 years.

Driver’s License
The driver has to be in possession of a valid driving license for at least 1 year with no major endorsements. Also, a valid ID
card or passport would be required at time of pick up.

The driving license must show the photo of the renter.

Domestic driving license issued in the US, Canada and Australia is accepted without an international driving license.

For Non-EU driving license holders it is mandatory to provide an International driving license with the minimum validity of
2 to 3 months.

Official identification documents INE in the case of Mexican nationals and passport in the case of foreigners are 
mandatory to present at the time of vehicle pick up.

An International Driver’s License (IDL) or a certified translation is mandatory is the driver’s license is not in English/Roman
alphabet. International driver license or a certified translation must be accompanied by the original domestic license of
the driver.

The following documents are mandatory to present at the time of vehicle pick up: Personal ID card or passport, driver's
license and Proof of actual residence, without postal codes, possible via "utility bill", e.g. electricity bill.

Insurance Coverage
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
It is included in your rental amount. 
Collision damage waiver reduces the customer’s damage responsibility to the excess/deductible amount.
The excess amount for CDW depends upon the vehicle groups:

The maximum excess amount for economy (2/4 door) and compact (2/4 door) vehicle groups is USD 1500.
The maximum excess amount for intermediate (2/4 door), full size (2/4 door) and standard (2/4 door) vehicle groups is
USD 1800.
The maximum excess amount for mini SUV, economy SUV, compact SUV and premium (2/4 door) vehicle groups is USD
2500.
The maximum excess amount for special sport and special (Open Air All Terrain) vehicle groups is USD 2800.
The maximum excess amount for intermediate SUV and standard SUV groups is USD 3100.
The maximum excess amount for full size SUV groups is USD 3300.
The maximum excess amount for mini Van, intermediate Van, premium Van, full size Van, standard (Pick up (single/
extended cab) 2 door) and over size Van groups is USD 4000.
The maximum excess amount for premium SUV, luxury (Open Air All Terrain) and luxury SUV groups is USD 5000.

Theft Waiver (THW) 
It is included in your rental amount.
It reduces the client's financial responsibility for loss or theft to the vehicle to the sum of the deductible.
The excess amount for THW depends upon the vehicle groups:

The maximum excess amount for economy (2/4 door) and compact (2/4 door) vehicle groups is USD 1500.
The maximum excess amount for intermediate (2/4 door), full size (2/4 door) and standard (2/4 door) vehicle groups is 
USD 1800.
The maximum excess amount for mini SUV, economy SUV, compact SUV and premium (2/4 door) vehicle groups is 
USD 2500.
The maximum excess amount for special sport and special (Open Air All Terrain) vehicle groups is USD 2800.
The maximum excess amount for intermediate SUV and standard SUV groups is USD 3100.
The maximum excess amount for full size SUV groups is USD 3300.
The maximum excess amount for mini Van, intermediate Van, premium Van, full size Van, standard (Pick up 
(single/extended cab) 2 door) and over size Van groups is USD 4000.

Personal Liability Coverage (PLI)
It is included in the rental amount. This coverage covers damages caused by the rented vehicle with a total amount up to
MXN 750000.

Excess Reduction
In the event of an accident, Super Collision Damage Waiver (Super CDW) reduces your excess amount up to a small
manageable amount.
The price of Super CDW varies from USD 10 per day up to USD 30 per day (category of the vehicle and the number of days
of rental) for all vehicle groups.

It may not cover Glass, tyres and other accessories. Super CDW is optional and can be purchased at the rental desk. For

Fees
Airport Fee is not included in the rental amount.
Other fees:
1. Tolls are not included in the rental price. Any local charges related to tolls are paid by the customer.
2. You are responsible for the cost of any parking fines and other penalties incurred whilst the vehicle is contracted to you.
The rental office will pass the relevant charges on to you plus any administrative expenses (if any).

Roadside Assistance
Roadside Assistance is available free of charge. If roadside assistance is required due to customer’s fault, then an
additional charge will apply depending on the locations distance or fault occurred by the customer. 
Relevant contact details and roadside assistance procedures will be given prior to the commencement of the hire.

Fuel Policy
Fuel is NOT included in the total cost of the rental.

You have to return the vehicle with same fuel amount as it was supplied to you at the time of pickup. In case of less fuel,
missing fuel will be charged for an additional charge varying from USD 10 per missing eighth to USD 20 per missing 
eighth (depending on the vehicle groups) on your return. Fuel charges are payable at the rental desk unless otherwise 
stated. Suppliers fuel policies change from time to time, please confirm at rental counter.

Mileage Policy
Unlimited

Cross border Travel

Cross border travel is allowed to Belize and Guatemala.

The permit for Belize is issued at the time of vehicle pick up. The permit for Guatemala requires 48 hours to be delivered
on business days, once the vehicle has been picked up, where we will have the vehicle information to process the letter. 
Notaries and government offices do not work on weekends and holidays. The cost of the permits is:

Belize: FREE
Guatemala: USD 180

VAT
VAT is included in the rental price. However, for all the optional extras or special equipment, or extra services, VAT would be
levied separately.

Payment Methods and Deposit
Only MasterCard, Visa and American Express credit cards are accepted and must be on main renters name while paying
at the rental desk. The credit card must be valid for 6 months after the vehicle drop off.

Digital cards or from Digital Platforms (Nu, Stori, Invex, Etc And/or Financial Sofom) are not accepted.
Credit Cards issued by department stores are not accepted.
Bank Cards issued by Banbajio, Discovery, Banco Azteca, Bancoopeel, etc are not accepted.

Deposit:
A refundable deposit varying from USD 600 to USD 1500 (depending on the vehicle groups) is held from the credit card at
the time of rental until the vehicle is returned.

Delivery and collection
Delivery and collection service is not available.

Out of Hours
Out of hours service is not available.

Grace Period
for vehicle pick up
In the event of delays, you must call or email the rental desk to notify of any changes to your pick-up time. After two hours
late, you will be considered a No Show and the supplier may or may not honour your reservation, depending on 
availability.

for late return
For return of the vehicle, the client has a tolerance period of 30 minutes, from the time registered in the voucher. After the 
stipulated time, for each additional hour, it will have a cost of USD 15 depending on the vehicle rented up to a maximum of 
3 hours, after 3 hours of delay, the full day will be charged.

Extras

Confirmation of Special Equipment’s depends upon the availability at the rental desk.
